These nutrients make Green peas a super food for winter. Some benefits are listed below: Peas can do wonders for your digestion by adding bulk and improving constipation issues. Peas are packed with antioxidants, vitamins and iron which helps in building immunity. They are known for their benefits to eyes, skin and hair. Anti-inflammatory nutrients in peas have been associated with lowering the risk of inflammatory conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis. 100g of green peas contain 7g of protein, which makes it a good source of protein for vegetarians.     The season is changing and we are experiencing chill in the air especially, in the morning and nights. The sudden temperature drops in outside as compared to our body temperature leads to cold and cough. In case one has low immunity then the chances of suffering from cold and cough is higher. Hence, building immunity becomes very necessary for this season. All colourful vegetables and fruits are rich sources of antioxidant, vitamins and minerals which helps in improving the body immunity. The availability of such vegetables and fruits are high during winter. By making a colourful meal daily with adding red, yellow, orange, white, green etc colour vegetables and fruits is the best way to improve immunity. One can use them as soups, salads or even as fruit shakes apart from regular Indian sabji or bhaji form. In winters soups and stews are the best to keep your body warm and nourished. Try making broccoli soup, tomato and carrot soup , leek and potato soup etc. By adding fruits in winters one can increase the intake of Vitamin C ,another immune booster for body which is low in calories too.      List of some fruits and vegetables during winter.  Papaya, Apple, pears, kiwis, oranges, sweet lime, strawberries, guava.
